Ottoman Public Debt Administration
The three-story, neo-classic building is the last European style structure on Kordon in the Konak direction. After this structure comes mainly commercial buildings. The three-story building was constructed in the 19th century. Until 1911, the place was a branch of Mytilene Bank. When the bank went bankrupt in 1911, the building was taken over by the “Düyun-u Umumiye-i Osmaniye Varidat-ı Muhassasa İdaresi” (Ottoman Public Debt Administration).
